San Carlos area of San Diego, Mission Trails Regional Park

San Carlos - A brush fire charred about twenty acres in the Mission Trails Regional Park late Tuesday afternoon. A quick response from fire fighting aircraft including the new San Diego Regional Fire Helicopter played a major role in stopping this fire before it got out of control. The Sheriff's ASTREA helicopter also made water drops on the flames. No injuries were reported at this fire.
